Claude Code skills for Playwright
Playwright skills for end-to-end tests that do not flake, visual regression, browser automation and HTML-to-PDF rendering. Includes the triage skill for tests that fail one run in twenty.
Start with these
- 1
Playwright E2E
End-to-end tests that never need a sleep
Claude writes Playwright tests the way the Playwright team recommends: role and label locators, auto-retrying assertions, API-seeded fixtures with teardown, and one login reused through storageState. When a test fails it reads the trace before touching code, and it ships CI config that shards runs, merges blob reports, and keeps traces for every failure.
- 2
Cypress E2E
Cypress tests that wait on aliases, never on timers
Claude writes Cypress specs that respect the command queue: stable data-cy or role selectors, retrying should assertions, intercept aliases instead of fixed waits, and cy.session logins with validation so each spec logs in once through the API. It seeds data with cy.task, adds component tests with cy.mount, and parallelizes CI through Cypress Cloud or free spec splitting.
- 3
Browser Automation
Script browser chores that resume, not break
Claude checks for an API first, then scripts the chore in Playwright with role-based locators, condition waits instead of sleeps, saved session state, retries with backoff and a progress ledger so reruns skip finished items. It keeps credentials out of code, throttles politely, and pauses for a human at MFA or CAPTCHA prompts rather than trying to get around them.

Backend & APIs 2
NestJS Modules
Clear module boundaries and enhancers in the right place
Claude organizes NestJS code into feature modules with small export lists, uses injection tokens instead of interfaces that vanish at runtime, and avoids request scope unless it is truly needed. Auth goes in guards, validation in a global ValidationPipe, mapping in interceptors, and tests override providers through the testing module so e2e runs use the same global config as production.
tRPC APIs
Typesafe procedures with auth that narrows context
Claude builds tRPC routers with a cheap typed context, protected and role-based base procedures that narrow ctx.user, Zod validation on input and output, and per-object ownership checks inside each procedure. The client imports only the router type, uses the v11 TanStack Query integration for queries and invalidation, and createCaller tests prove that the unauthorized and not-found paths hold.
Testing 5
Playwright E2E
End-to-end tests that never need a sleep

When a test fails it reads the trace before touching code, and it ships CI config that shards runs, merges blob reports, and keeps traces for every failure.
Mobile E2E Testing
Mobile UI tests that pass ten runs out of ten
Claude picks one end-to-end framework per app stack, adds stable test IDs and a launch-argument test mode that fixes backend, locale and animations, and writes journeys that reset state and wait on conditions rather than sleeping. It sets up emulator and simulator CI with artifacts on failure, uses device farms for real-device passes, and works through a flake checklist until runs are repeatable.
Flaky Test Triage
Find flakes from CI data and fix the cause
Claude treats flakiness as a measurable defect. It aggregates JUnit reports from many CI runs to find tests that flip, ranks them by pipeline cost, quarantines the worst into a non-blocking job with an owner, reproduces them under repeat, shuffle and CPU stress, and only calls a fix done when the failure rate drops to zero over an equal number of runs.
Visual Regression
Screenshot tests that fail on real change, not noise
Claude makes renders deterministic before touching thresholds: frozen clock, fixture data, loaded fonts, masked live widgets, and baselines generated inside the same Playwright container CI uses. It proves zero noise with repeated runs, then tunes per-snapshot limits so a one-pixel padding change fails while anti-aliasing jitter does not.

What is the best Claude Code skill for Playwright?
Start with Playwright E2E: End-to-end tests that never need a sleep. Then add Cypress E2E and Browser Automation, which cover the next most common Playwright requests.
How do I install all 11 Playwright skills at once?
Pass every name to the installer in one command: curl -fsSL https://claudeskills.page/install.sh | sh -s -- playwright-e2e cypress-e2e browser-automation mobile-e2e-testing flaky-test-triage visual-regression web-scraping html-to-pdf computer-use-agents nestjs-modules trpc-apis. Add --project to install them into the current repository's .claude/skills/ folder so your team gets them too.
Do these Playwright skills work outside Claude Code?
Yes. Each skill uses only the portable Agent Skills frontmatter, so the same folder works on claude.ai, through the Claude API and in the Agent SDK. Skills that run bundled scripts need an environment with code execution.
